Essentially the lab sessions will be based around the first year experiments that we expect all of our physics students to complete.  If wished, we can also offer specific second year experiments or introduce people to LabVIEW (software), Elvis (integrated breadboard and instrumentation) or other relevant systems if people are interested?   The presentation will be to highlight various developments that we have underway at the moment and related physics education initiatives that may be of interest.

Dietary and other Requirements

Please let us know of any dietary or other relevant health requirements for the day.  The event will be on the top floor of Burnaby Building but there is step-free access via a lift from the main entrance.

Car parking

It will be easiest for attendees to park in the Burnaby or Milldam car parks which are close to Burnaby Building.  If people email me to register for the event and let me know a postal address, scratch-card (scratch and display) parking permits can be sent out that will allow parking in any University car park. Unfortunately spaces cannot be reserved in most car parks.  If anyone has mobility issues requiring a particularly close car parking space please let me know and I will see what could be arranged.
